We treat the whole person, recognizing how mental, emotional, and physical well-being are interconnected.
Compassion is at the heart of our practice. We strive to create a safe and empathetic space where you feel heard, understood, and valued.
We celebrate strengths! Strengths are pivotal to navigating life’s complexities with confidence.
No two journeys are alike. We tailor treatment plans to meet your unique needs, preferences, and goals.
We view therapy as a collaborative process. You are an active participant and driver of your healing journey. Our practitioner role is to guide, support, and empower.

Celebrating Resilience
Inspired by William Carlos Williams’ poem “The Red Wheelbarrow,” we find beauty in the ordinary. Just as the wheelbarrow holds significance in its simplicity, so do everyday moments in our lives. We celebrate resilience, small victories, and the courage it takes to face challenges.

We use a compassionate, strengths based, and whole person approach, embracing and affirming difference as strength.

Red Wheelbarrow Counseling offers a variety of counseling services to adults in Indiana. Services are virtual and you can join from the comfort of your home!
During your first session with Red Wheelbarrow Counseling, your therapist will ask you questions to get to know you better and understand what brings you to counseling. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the counseling process.
Step 1: Click on "schedule appointment" below and select the initial consultation option. This is a 20-minute video or phone call (your choice). I’ll share about the practice and answer any questions you may have and you can share about your needs and how I might help/what you expect.
Step 2: If we decide to work together, sessions will occur on a secure, HIPAA-compliant SimplePractice video call. We’ll do an initial evaluation so you can help me understand your history and current needs.
Step 3: While therapy can be challenging at first as we address difficult topics, it will gradually help you find more joy in life and build confidence in your ability to cope.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers (including mental health) need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
● You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, therapy sessions, and hospital fees.
● If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
● Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
